Week 6 Survivor Picks – NFL

Week 6 Survivor

We go into Week 6 Survivor with me having a 16-4 record. To be honest, That’s a pretty good record to be 5 weeks into the season, and I never expected the Chiefs to fall to the Colts last week. A lot of people ended their Survivor pools with that pick. Hopefully it wasn’t you! We have 4 teams on bye this week with the Colts, Bills, Raiders, and Bears all taking the week off.

When I look for teams to use for Survivor, I look at Team Schedules for the remainder of the season, team health, location (home teams are usually preferred) and Vegas Odds. Weather can sometimes play a role, as well. I also will often avoid division matchups as teams often play better against division rivals. These are not always requirements, so sometimes it’s OK to vary from these. Another thing to look at is percentage of people picking the team. This is often a guess, but some info is out there.

Week 6 Survivor Picks

New England Patriots

This is the week I take the Patriots. If you still have them and are alive it makes the most sense to sue them now. We saw how the Chiefs disappointed so many last week, and the Rams the week before. Pools are dwindling down and there’s no reason to save them any further. New England will be the home team Thursday night against the Giants who will be without Saquon Barkely, Wayne Gallman, Sterling Shepard, & Evan Engram. That’s most of their offense. The Patriots have allowed next to nothing i points this season and are heavily favored to win this game by 17.

Set it and forget it. Play the Pats this week in your Week 6 Survivor pools.

Dallas Cowboys

Coming in close this week is the Cowboys who took a tough loss last week against the Packers. This week they are facing a worse team in the NY Jets. The Jets will be hosting this game, so that helps to knock the spread down a little. The Cowboys are still over 7 point favorites though. They should be able to make easy work of the Jets. The Jets are trying to get back into the swing of things and should have their QB back this week with Darnold medically cleared, but I don;t think it will be enough to overtake “Dem Boys”

This is another matchup that should be easy to see. A good Week 6 Survivor choice is to take the Cowboys this week.

Baltimore Ravens

Baltimore will host the Bengals this week in a big divisional game. The Ravens have shown that they are a much better team this season with Lamar Jackson at the helm and he has led them to a 3-2 record so far on the season compared to the Bengals who are 0-5. The Ravens have scored twice as many points as the Bengals this season, and that could be the case in this game. I’d expect a good win for the Ravens in this matchup.

A lot of people used the Ravens earlier this season, so they may not be available. If they are, you can definitely play them.

Seattle Seahawks

I’d like this game a lot more if it was in Seattle. The Seahawks are favored to barely win this game, but we saw how horrible the Browns are last Monday night. Chris Carson seems to have solved his fumble issue, and Russ looks to be in mid season form a bit early. The Browns were just bad last week and haven’t done much this season so show otherwise. I think Vegas has this game wrong.

This is the last resort this week if you have played all of the other teams above. you can use them as your Week 6 Survivor.

As always, good luck this week. I hope You all make it through this week of your Week 2 Survivor Pools.
